Use this handy calculator to figure out the perfect ratio of coffee to water. 16:1 is the our recommendation, but you can achieve stronger or more delicate brews by adjusting it up or down. Lower ratios (14:1, 15:1) will be stronger, higher ratios (17:1) will be more delicate. Please note that tablespoons are an approximation and should only be used in absence of a scale. Also note that this will calculate the total amount of amount of brewed coffee, accounting for the absorption of water by the coffee grounds.
