Need some brewing tips? Here are our recommendations on how to evoke the best out of your coffee. You can also view our YouTube channel for detailed instructional videos.
Water: Use filtered water for brewing your coffee. Tap water has too many minerals, distilled water doesn't have enough.
Grind: Don't grind your coffee until you're ready to brew. Good coffee has countless fleeting aromatic compounds that start to leave the coffee once it's ground. Grinding immediately before brewing will keep them trapped and let them make their way into your cup.
Ratio: Use a 17:1 (water:coffee) ratio. That translates to about 1 tablespoon of ground coffee for every cup of water. Find our handy ratio calculator here!
Temperature: Brew with water that's between 195F and 208F.
Cleanliness: Clean that coffee pot! Residual oils from brewing can taint your coffee. Clean where the filter goes, clean the server and clean the spray head.
Freshness: Use coffee within 14 days of roasting.
