Evocation Coffee is the offspring of the deep love and passion for coffee that co-founders Roman Leal and Amy McDivitt share. The company was born in early 2009 when Roman left his job as a barista at a local coffee shop where the “twenty ounce caramel latte with whip” reigned supreme with aspirations of giving people something better to drink. Amy and Roman banded together to purchase a small, 7-kilo roaster and proceeded to set up shop in an empty garage and fervently began learning everything they could.  After several months of intensive studying, experimenting and experiencing the joy of roasting, they finally felt their product was ready for presentation to the taste buds of the public. Since then, they have diligently maintained their ideals by only sourcing the best coffee on the market and roasting each batch to the best of their ability. From humble beginnings, the company has met with tremendous success and their coffee has been featured in several prestigious coffee shops across the country. Still driven mainly by word-of-mouth marketing, the company is steadily growing and earning a place in the hearts of coffee enthusiasts across the nation. Roman and Amy continue to hone their skills by attentively listening to their customers and ravenously devouring every scrap of coffee information they can get their hands on.
